Layering for warmth
Our first daughter was born in February, a short but chilly month here in the north east. We live in an older home where keeping warm can be a constent battle. We began dressing her in layers of natural fibers from her first day home.
Layering is the most effective way to keep children warm and comfortable during the cooler months. A good rule of thumb is if you are chilly and need a sweater, they do too. For outdoor, it is best to add one extra layer because babies do not generate the body heat from moving around like adults. Our hand knit cardigans are easy to put on and take off, and they aren’t bulky or constricting. They are an essential part of your baby’s cool weather wardrobe.
